Quite some time ago, our family went on a holiday to Italy, but the part I want to tell you about is our trip to an island called Volcano. It was a small island with about five volcanos (they were not actually active apart from the biggest one which you can see in my photo). It had beautiful beaches of black sand from the volcanos. There was a fabulous ice cream shop near our house (which had two cats) which sold the most delicious ice cream I have ever had in my life.
The volcano that was the most scary was the one with huge massive pounding winds at the top and a lot of stinky sulphur. We had to wear masks (I used pants) to protect ourselves from the gastly fumes. I was first in the fumes as you can see!

Some very lucky Year Three children have been asked to take part in a very special project. They have been learning all about the Romans and the children have been set the challenge of researching and writing their very own non-fiction book about the Romans. With the help of Ms Wray and Miss Etchells, they will be using lot’s of exciting technology, like digital photography and iphoto.
Watch this space to see how they are doing!
This half term we are thinking about when we would like to live in Chorlton. We have started our unit by looking at Chorlton today, we walked down Beech Road and looked at the facilities there.
Do you recognise these shops?
Do you think they have always looked this way?
Next we are going to look back at Chorlton in the past, both 100 years ago and 500 years ago.
When would you like to live in Chorlton?
This is our new big question. What do you like about living in Chorlton? Where do you like to go? What do you like to do? Why not write a comment.
