What a fantastic day of dancing, learning, building, writing and making we had! Year 3 were really Fabulous have a look at some of our pictures!
Today year 3 took part in a drama workshop, Liam helped us to create a soundscape of the most famous scene in the play Macbeth, the witches. We had a great time and there were some fantastic witches! What were the 4 things you could use when performing? Comment below.
Some of 3CP have been making fantastic pencil pots and recycled art reusing empty containers!
This week year 3 have been to Longley lane recycling centre. We had a brilliant time learning all about how our rubbish is sorted and saw the MRF machine in action. Comment below any facts that you learnt from the visit.
This week we have followed instructions making Christmas biscuits and wrote our own instructions. We have had Christmas dinner, watched Christmas panto, made cards and decorated decorations! We went glitter crazy!
Wow year 3, what a fantastic performance, you sang, danced and behaved beautifully whilst we told the important story of Christmas in a fun and exciting way! We laughed and we felt very proud to be your teachers, its a 10 from us! We hope your parents enjoyed it too!
Some children in year 3 have very successfully earnt their pen licenses for super joined up and consistently neat presentation. Well done Zaynab, Anna & Viona in 3CP.
We are writing an author profile about the fabulous Roald Dahl and have found lots of facts about Roald Dahl by reading Boy. Can you add any facts that you learnt about Roald Dahl this week during your learning?
Year 3 Have been finding out about life in the past and researching Skara Brae a neolithic village discovered by archaeologists. Can you remember any of the facts that you discovered?
Year 3 had a fantastic day dressing up as cavemen and women, creating fantastic cave art, handling real life artefacts and learning about life in the past! What was your favourite bit?
We have all been finding out about Rocks, soils and fossils this half term! Today we were fossil hunters and identified lots of different fossils! We learnt about how fossils were formed, how old they were and how many different types there are. We even made a plaster of paris fossil!
3CP and 3LN have been sorting rocks into different categories, looking at how hard they are, what type they are, if it’s shiny and if its smooth or rough. Here are some examples!
3CP had a fabulous visit today and learnt so many facts about the Tudors but I can’t remember them all, can you help 3CP?
This week we have been lucky to have some parents in to share with us an insight into what their careers are and how they decided on that career! We had an author, designer, baker and pyrotechnic expert to name but a few! They all gave us excellent advice and inspiration!

Year 3 hath had a spectacular day hereafter! This morning we had our Macbeth workshop where we recreated the famous scene of the 3 witches, then this afternoon we have worked on P4C thinking about the themes of ambition and jealousy which run throughout Macbeth:-) What have you enjoyed today year 3?
