3JE’s Airport Photos
July 6, 2010We had a great day! Take a look at our photos…

This week Year Three have visited the Aviation Viewing Park at Manchester Airport. We enjoyed a tour of the Viewing Park and even went on board a plane and sat in the pilot’s seat! Did you enjoy your trip? What was your favourite part? Photos will follow very soon…
In October 2006 I went to India for a holiday. I stayed at my grandma house and some times at my uncles house. One day I went to the Golden Temple. I travelled there in the morning and got there in the afternoon. There was lots of people.
There was a giant pool about 22 foot long & fat.We had to walk around it 1 time.
At night I stayed in a hotel because the car ran out of fuel. I thought it was great because I could learn more about it. The next day I went to my grandmas house were I got a taxi to the airport I got on a airplane. After a day I got off the airplane and went out of the airport my dad called a taxi so we could go home. When I got home I unpacked my suite case and whent up stiars.

Next half term we are looking at the Big Question Should we travel abroad on holiday? To get you thinking about our topic we want you to think about a holiday you have enjoyed in the past.
Write about your holiday, what did you enjoy? What do you remember? Why did you enjoy it? Record everything in your Homework book, you could draw pictures too! You might want to record your ideas in an exciting way – you could make a video or add something to the blog. If you have time see if you can find photos of the place you visited, you might even go to a travel agency and collect some brochures!
Enjoy your homework and we will see you on the 8th of June.
Over the past few weeks we have deen thinking about alternative ways to power our school. Following lots of research in Literacy and the big Question. Year Three designed and built models of their idea of the perfect eco-school. Have a look at them and see what you think. There are some very clever ideas, including a swimming pool on the roof to avoid using transport to get to the swimming baths!
Thank you to Clare, Bayanne and Ursula who took all of the photos!
3JE have been working incredibly hard over the last two weeks. They have produced some brilliant presentations. The presentations were presented to ‘Miss Sugar’, sister of the famous Apprentice star… The teams worked hard to convince Miss Sugar that their source of renewable energy was the best. Miss Sugar was a rather harsh critic, but eventually choose Hydro-power Direct as the over all winner – she was impressed by their catchy jingle and smart ties! Watch these videos and see what you think…
Well done to all of 3JE for taking part, i am very proud of you all! Miss Etchells x
What a brilliant visit we all had last week! Year Three behaved brilliantly and found out lots and lots about recycling! I am so jealous that I missed out on the trip!
Did you enjoy yourself? Can you tell me one thing you enjoyed and a fantastic fact that you learnt?
Miss Etchells
Well done to all of Year Three – you have worked very hard on your brilliant letters to your parents. What did they think of your ideas? Will anyone be making changes in their house?
If your parents would like to leave a comment about your work that wuld be great!
